My, how time flies!

It's hard to believe it's the end of October already!    Since I haven't posted since our August outing, I need to catch you up!

In August, several of us had lunch at the Emerald Isle followed by a trip the the Arapahoe Race Park.  Yes ladies, we went gambling on the horse races!  Amy, Lee and I had a great time and split our BIG winnings - we each walked off with 35 cents!  (yep, you read that right.)  We had our formula for picking winning horses down pat!  Any grey horse or horse with pink socks was an automatic pick.  Oh yeah, and cute jockey's were our pick, too.  It was a fun afternoon and cheap entertainment.   Not a camera in sight, however, so no pictures of this outing.

September was a "bye"  month for us.  Too much going on for too many of us, so we decided to skip September. 

October was fun, though!  We made a trip down to Castle Rock to have lunch at the Augustine Grill.  That is such a cute  little restaurant and the food and service was good, too.  

In addition to having a great time, we also welcomed a new member, Genny, to our group.  Welcome, Genny and I hope you enjoy playing with us!

It's Tea Time at Mrs. B's Tea Parlor

We had our June event on June 11, 2012 at Mrs. B's Tea Parlor.  The food was good, the conversation was at times hilarious and a good time was had by all!  Princess of the Waterfalls, I can't believe you said that!

It doesn't look like those are menus you're reading, Ladies.

We, on the other hand, are enjoying the food..  What a selection! (Red Hatters can shop anytime, anywhere!)

"I Love You - You're Perfect - Now Change" at the Galleria Theater

On May 12, we had a wonderful lunch at Maggiano's Italian Restaurant followed by a visit to the Galleria Theater in the Denver Center for Performing Arts to see "I Love You - You're Perfect - Now Change".  This play has been back to Denver several times and is always well attended.  However, would you believe that in a group of 14 women, there was not one camera in sight?  So no camera - no pictures.  You will  just have to take our word for it - a great time was had by all!

We'll have some pictures for you next month when we attend Mrs. B's for tea.

April Reduation Ceremony and a little crafting, too

On April 14, 2012 we had a Reduation Ceremony to celebrate Princess Glamfabulous' 50th birthday and to welcome her as an official Red Hat member.  She can now wear a red hat instead of a pink hat - quite an honor, if you want my opinion.  We had lunch at Genghis Grill in Centennial followed by the ceremony at Bead It! - and then followed the ceremony with a little jewelry making.  A good time was had by all.

Welcome to our blog. Our Red Hat chapter was started in October of 2004 and we've been a chartered member of the Red Hat Society ever since. The Red Hat Society is an international society of women that supports and encourages women in their pursuit of fun, friendship, freedom, fulfillment and fitness. Our chapter includes both pink hat members (under 50) and red hat members (over 50) in our group and we value each and every one for the unique qualities that they bring to our chapter.

March 11, 2012 - A Wine-Tasting Tour

Italian food and wine - what can be better than that!

We started out our day with and early lunch at Lecuga's Italian Restaurant (oh, yum!) and then a tour of five wine tasting rooms at the Colorado Winery Row in Denver.  We visited - and tasted our way through - Bonacquisti Wine Company, Garfield Estates, Cottonwood Cellars, The Olathe Winery and   Verso Cellars.  Needless to say, we had a wonderful time!  Good food, good wine and good friends - what more can you ask for!  Such a wonderful thing, that little grape!
